Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced technology leader to head the Student Systems Technical Team responsible for Ellucian Banner and related student systems. As Team Manager, you will guide six technical professionals, shape technical direction, and partner with Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid to translate needs into sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising technical professionals.
• 5+ years Banner Student Systems experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL), system integrations, and data management.
• Experience with application development and full software lifecycle.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing technical team for USC's Student Systems.
• Provide technical leadership for Ellucian Banner, DegreeWorks, and related tools.
• Oversee development, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ensure reliable operations, incident response, and performance management.
• Drive modernization, automation, and integration efforts with stakeholders.
