Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 60 college credit hours or passing score on the Para Pro Exam.
• Previous experience working with students; desire to positively influence students' lives and background in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student and staff confidentiality.
• Comply with standard rules, regulations, and procedures assigned by Building Principal.
• Be part of the total support team for students and staff.
• Be professional when dealing with students, staff, and parents.
• Support the teacher and related staff, who provide service for the student.
• Support the educator/teacher's overall goals and objectives for each individual student.
• Aid in the development and maintenance of a positive work environment.
• Communicate concerns to the administrator or assigned teacher in a timely and professional manner.
• Be on time and maintain good attendance, report to the requested area or work site.
• Attend in-services upon notification, when provided during a school day.
• Request teacher support when necessary or when more explanation is needed.
• Communicate important information to the teacher concerning the student.
• ED positions require the ability to complete CPI training.
• MOpositions require assistance with student's hygiene
