Job summary

Michigan City Area Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist with implementing Individual Education Programs for students with disabilities. You will support teachers in various settings, including special and general education classrooms, and perform classroom and mobility tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 60 college credit hours or passing score on the Para Pro Exam.
• Previous experience working with students and ability to be a positive influence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student and staff confidentiality.
• Be part of the total support team for students and staff.
• Support the teacher and related staff to meet student needs.
• Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
• Attend in-services when provided during a school day.
• Communicate concerns to the administrator or teacher promptly.
