Job summary

City Year in Missouri is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor for a paid, full-time AmeriCorps role.

You will coach and mentor students, support teachers, plan and monitor progress, and help improve attendance and behavior while fostering a positive learning environment.

Training is provided with 2–4 weeks of onboarding, joining a team dedicated to equity and student success across elementary to high school levels.

Qualifications

• Be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups to promote academic success
• Support teachers with in-class instruction and student progress monitoring
• Create engaging, safe classroom spaces and support attendance and behavior improvement
• Assist with data collection and reviews of student progress and outcomes
• Participate in city-wide programs and family engagement initiatives
