Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor in Missouri to support students across elementary to high school. You will coach and mentor students, track progress, and collaborate with teachers to improve attendance and achievement.

AmeriCorps members receive a bi-weekly living stipend, health benefits, and an education award, plus 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year. This paid, full-time role offers hands-on service and growth opportunities in schools.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks training provided at the start of the year.
• Must be able to start by July/August 2025.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Help students improve literacy and math through varied activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and support class instruction.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space with teachers.
• Support after-school and enrichment programs and student clubs.
