Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor to work full-time in Missouri. You will coach and mentor students, support literacy and math development, and contribute to a positive classroom environment.

We provide 2-4 weeks of training, ongoing guidance from teachers, and a range of benefits including health insurance, relocation support, and education awards through AmeriCorps.

Qualifications

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
• Authorized to work in the U.S. required
• Commitment to AmeriCorps term and program start by July/August 2025

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups
• Develop literacy and math skills with varied activities
• Create and implement behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress
• Support school-wide initiatives and student engagement
