Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is hiring a student success coach and mentor for entry-level, paid, full-time service in Missouri. You will coach and mentor students, support literacy and math skills, and help build positive behaviors in school with teachers and staff.

This role offers 2–4 weeks of training, no prior experience required, and access to AmeriCorps education benefits, stipends, and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. as per AmeriCorps requirements
• Commitment to full-time AmeriCorps service

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups
• Develop literacy and math skills with varied activities
• Create and implement a behavior management system
• Develop interpersonal skills through daily activities
• Collaborate with teachers to collect and monitor student progress
• Create engaging, safe classroom spaces
