Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College is seeking a Student Success Technician to support students and promote engagement. The role collaborates with teachers, counselors, and staff to identify needs, monitor progress, and organize workshops.

The technician helps create a positive, inclusive learning environment and guides students to CNM resources. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience, with bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND Two (2) years of experience.
• Experience as a student employee is considered.
• A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements of the position.

• Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 am - 4 pm

Responsibilities

• Refers individuals to the appropriate CNM resources and provides explanations and interpretations of CNM policies, procedures, and programs
• Delivers information via telephone, in person, and online.
• Performs general office duties, including data entry and retrieval, manual and electronic processing, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, and OSHA standards, and wears personal protective gear if required.
• Provides guidance and support to students by referring them to appropriate resources within CNM.
• Offers explanations and interpretations of CNM policies, procedures, and programs through various communication channels, including telephone, in-person interactions, and online platforms.
• Performs a variety of general office duties such as data entry, retrieval, manual and electronic processing, and answering telephones.
• Performs other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
