Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking a Student Success Specialist to support retention initiatives and screen students for academic issues. You will track data, coordinate staff activities, and contribute to student success workshops across campus.

This grant-funded role involves collaboration with multiple departments, maintaining records, and preparing timely reports. A Florida driver’s license and willingness to travel between campuses are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; some related experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Engages with students to identify academic and personal challenges affecting success and refers them to campus resources.
• Maintains accurate records of program participation and student interactions.
• Coordinates activities of staff and student workers; handles scheduling and administrative tasks.
• Assists with student panels, workshops, and events to boost retention and completion.
• Prepares reports and presents retention data for internal and external requests.
