Job summary

Broward College seeks a Manager, Student Services to provide wrap-around support for students at South Campus. You will connect students with campus resources and community agencies, lead initiatives, and oversee a team delivering holistic support.

The role emphasizes reducing attrition, developing workshops, and coordinating with departments to support student success and timely graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Five years general business or field-specific experience.
• Three years in college/function-specific experience.
• Three years supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees new program initiatives to reduce attrition of AA/AS/degree certificate students.
• Analyzes student success issues with faculty and administrators to design specialized programs.
• Serves as campus liaison with faculty and administrators to develop student success programs.
• Maintains a case-load of at-risk students; directs students to campus resources and community organizations.
• Handles Seahawk Outreach Services: early warnings and self-referral intakes; provides follow-up.
• Organizes Student Success Workshops and related activities.
• Works daily with Financial Aid, Student Life, Admissions/Registrar, Career Center, Advisement.
• Trains staff and supervises the Student Success Advocate; supports holistic strategies.
• Maintains communication on websites, newsletters, social media, and D2L.
• Documents student files and records of program activities.
• Manages staff performance, workflow, schedules; assists with hiring decisions.
• Performs other admin tasks for Dean and AVP.
