Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking an Accessibility Specialist to assess student needs, conduct intake interviews, and implement accommodations. The role collaborates with college staff to ensure access to services and reliable support for students registering with the accessibility department.

The position requires an Associate’s degree and at least one year of related experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• One year of related experience required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar application preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive intake sessions and informs students and families about services.
• Coordinates accommodations with College personnel and external vendors as necessary.
• Arranges tutoring and testing for students with accommodation needs; provides reading and scribe services.
• Develops and presents workshops showcasing assistive technologies and tools.
• Collaborates with college personnel for development of marketing content for the department.
• Assists students with course selections, scheduling, and placement and communicates prerequisites.
• Ensures security and confidentiality of tests and records; maintains data and reporting.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
