City Year AmeriCorps members serve as entry‑level, paid, full‑time coaches and mentors in schools, helping students achieve academic success, improve attendance and develop positive behaviors. You will work with teachers to support in‑class instruction and whole‑class activities while receiving 2–4 weeks of training at the start of the year.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and be ready to start by July/August 2025.

Qualificações

• Coaching and mentoring students in literacy and math.
• Plan and monitor student progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with teachers to support learning.

Responsabilidades

• Coaching 1:1 and in small groups to support academic goals.
• Develop literacy and math activities based on student level.
• Create and implement behavior management strategies.
• Support teachers with data collection and progress reviews.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space with teachers.
