Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level Student success coach and mentor in Missouri to support students across elementary to high school as part of City Year AmeriCorps. You will coach, mentor, and help students earn academic progress while partnering with teachers and school staff.

You will receive training and hands-on experience in literacy, math, attendance, behavior, and classroom engagement, with ongoing guidance from educators and a focus on student growth.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided (2–4 weeks) at the start of the year.
• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development for students.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to achieve academic success and improve attendance.
• Plan and monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers on classroom instruction.
• Create engaging, safe and healthy classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers.
• Support extended day and after-school programs including enrichment and clubs.

Education
