Job summary

City Year is seeking a City Year AmeriCorps member to coach and mentor students across elementary to high school. As an entry-level, paid, full-time position, you will support academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors while collaborating with teachers and school staff.

Two to four weeks of training are provided, with ongoing collaboration and data tracking in City Year's student data system to monitor progress and inform instructional decisions.

• Ability to support literacy and math learning activities
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups
• Support literacy and math skill development through varied activities
• Create and implement behavior management strategies
• Help monitor student progress and participate in data reviews
• Create engaging, safe classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers
• Support extended-day and after-school programs and student clubs
