Job summary

City Year in the United States is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor as a full-time AmeriCorps member. You will coach and mentor students to support academic achievement, attendance, and positive school behavior.

You will plan and monitor student progress, collaborate with teachers, and participate in school-wide initiatives and enrichment programs. Training is provided, with ongoing support from City Year staff and partner educators.

Responsibilities

• Coach identified students 1:1 and in small groups
• Support literacy and math activities with varied learning tasks
• Create engaging, safe classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers
• Monitor and record student progress in City Year’s data system
• Assist with school-wide engagement programs
