Job summary

Southcentral KY Community & Technical College is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) team. Reporting to the Associate Director of EOC, this position will be part of a five-year, grant-funded program focused on supporting income-eligible, first-generation, and adult learners as they pursue higher education and new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Student Affairs, Education, Social Science, or related field.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Strong writing and verbal communication; proficiency with Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identification, recruitment, and selection of eligible EOC participants
• Provide academic and career coaching to EOC participants
• Present financial literacy workshops and support the financial aid process
• Assist program participants with scholarship searches and applications
• Coordinate outreach with campus and community partners
• Act as a liaison between program participants and education partners, as needed
• Provide guidance in post-secondary school entry and entry into a GED program
• Maintain proper documentation of program participants
• Assist program participants with the necessary paperwork to pursue educational goals.
