City Year AmeriCorps members serve as mentors and coaches in elementary, middle and/or high schools, helping students achieve academic success and improve attendance. You will plan and monitor progress, and work with teachers to support classroom instruction and targeted student assistance.

We provide 2–4 weeks of training at the start, and you will join partner teachers and staff to support engaging, safe learning environments and city-wide school initiatives.

Formación

• Experience coaching students is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to student success and education equity.
• Able to work with diverse student populations.

Responsabilidades

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math activities to boost skills.
• Create and implement a behavior management plan.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress using City Year data.
• Support after-school and enrichment programs.
