Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps member serves as a student success coach and mentor, focusing on academic achievement, attendance, and positive behavior for elementary to high school students. You will partner with teachers to support classroom instruction and student growth.

The role is entry level, paid, and full-time, with training provided and opportunity to contribute to whole-school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; 2–4 weeks of training provided at the start of the year.
• Coaching and mentoring students with teacher collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to achieve academic success and improve attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support classroom instruction with teachers.
• Create an engaging, safe classroom space in collaboration with the teacher.
• Support extended day and after-school programs, student clubs, and related activities.
