Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College is seeking a Student Success Technician to support students and promote engagement. You will collaborate with teachers, counselors, and staff to identify student needs, monitor progress, and organize workshops and events in a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities include guiding students to CNM resources, delivering information in person, by phone, and online, and maintaining office tasks while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND Two (2) years of experience
• Experience as a student employee is considered
• A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements of the position
• Best Consideration 08/28/26
• Preference: Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 am - 4 pm

Responsibilities

• Refers individuals to the appropriate CNM resources and provides explanations and interpretations of CNM policies, procedures, and programs
• Delivers information via telephone, in person, and online.
• Performs general office duties, including data entry and retrieval, manual and electronic processing, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, and OSHA standards, and wears personal protective gear if required.
• Provides guidance and support to students by referring them to appropriate resources within CNM.
• Offers explanations and interpretations of CNM policies, procedures, and programs through various communication channels, including telephone, in-person interactions, and online platforms.
• Performs a variety of general office duties such as data entry, retrieval, manual and electronic processing, and answering telephones.
• Performs other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
