Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter credits or ParaPro test.
• May be certified in first aid, CPR, and/or operation of defibrillators.
• Experience working with culturally diverse families and communities.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and take initiative.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instruction, supervision, and student support.
• Support students 1:1 or in small groups to complete tasks.
• Provide health-related and daily living support as needed under supervision.
• Assist in implementing behavior and safety plans in classroom settings.
• Supervise students during recess, bus, and transitions to ensure safety.
• Document student progress and communicate with staff and families.
