Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs or medically fragile conditions. You will support health care needs and help develop daily living and behavioral skills while aiding staff with classroom preparation and material handling.

You may supervise students in the library, classrooms, resource rooms, or on the bus, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning

Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
AA degree or higher OR Completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter hours OR ParaPro/Paraprofessional assessment scores.
Official documentation required upon hire and background check.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with various needs.
Support students with health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
Assist staff with classroom preparation and retrieval and handling of equipment and supplies.
Supervise students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, or while boarding/alighting buses.
