Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a Paraeducator to assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs. Supports students' special health care needs and develops daily living and behavioral skills.

Role may supervise and assist students in library, classrooms, or on bus; located at Redmond High School within the Redmond Learning Community, on a 180-day calendar with shift 8:20 to 3:35 and hours of 6.75 per day.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Alternately, an AA or higher, or 72 college quarter hours, or passing ParaPro/Paraprofessional assessments.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs.
• Support students' health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Assist with classroom preparation, retrieval, and supervision in various settings including bus transport.
