Job summary

Union County College is seeking a Student Services Generalist to join the One Stop Operations team across all campuses. The role supports admissions, registration, financial aid, student accounts, and programs, while guiding students and parents through policies and procedures.

Strong customer service and communication skills are essential to assist diverse student populations. The position offers multiple contract types, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provides direction, information, and referrals regarding admissions, registration, financial aid, student accounts, programs and services.
• Monitors services and traffic in the One Stop Centers.
• Reviews and processes payments, tuition waivers, and resolves account inquiries.
• Develops academic/individual action plans to guide students toward on-time graduation; supports retention programs.
• Communicates with students via phone, text, email, and retention platforms.
• Collaborates with academic divisions on catalog updates and policies.
• Assists with course planning, orientation, and financial literacy programs.
• Reads and communicates college policies; proposes procedural improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
