Job summary

UNC Greensboro’s University Registrar’s Office seeks a Student Services Specialist to be the primary point of contact for students and staff. You will deliver exemplary customer service via phone, email, and in person, handling inquiries on enrollment verification, registration, and records with a thorough understanding of FERPA regulations.

In this role you will guide students through processes, resolve issues, and coordinate with departments to ensure accurate information and timely responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and/or one year of related experience in admissions, transfer, or student services; experience with Banner, degree audit tracking, and MS Office Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides the highest level of customer service in all interactions to deliver one-stop service within the University Registrar’s Office and improve the student/constituent experience.
• Provides knowledgeable support through registration, records, scheduling, curriculum, transcript, and record procedures to translate university language into understandable terms.
• Acts as an experienced guide for students, staff, and faculty interacting with the Registrar’s Office, resolving inquiries and directing requests to the appropriate resource.
• Becomes an advocate for the student while using professional discretion to refer to the next level of support when necessary.
