Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis is seeking a Records Technician to manage centralized processing of student records under the supervision of the Director of Student Records for Transfer and Graduation Services.

You will handle transfer credit evaluations, graduation processing, and record updates, while ensuring FERPA compliance and accurate data entry. A degree and familiarity with Banner/Ellucian SIS and MS Office are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Experience in higher education records is preferred.
• Experience with Banner/Ellucian SIS is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Adobe) required.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills; able to handle high volume with a team-first attitude.
• Commitment to inclusive environment reflecting diverse students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and post transfer credit evaluations using TES and u.achieve.
• Establish transfer credit equivalencies with Academic Affairs.
• Process graduations in Banner and order diplomas.
• Handle record-related requests including grade changes and demographic updates.
• Process drops for non-completion of prerequisites at term end.
• Oversee all orders in Parchment and process manual orders as needed.
• Address inquiries submitted to the Student Records Hub inbox.
• Complete verification requests from National Student Clearing House.
