Job summary

Texas Wesleyan University seeks a New Student Mentor to join the Orientation team. You will support planning and facilitation of New Student Registration Days and Ram Camp, guiding incoming students and modeling welcoming customer service.

You will participate in trainings, collaborate with staff, and help students connect with peers while developing leadership and event-support skills in a dynamic campus environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a TXWES student and maintain eligibility for student employment.
• Ability to attend mandatory trainings, Ram Camp, and New Student Registration Days.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with new students to support their transition.
• Lead a small group through Ram Camp and New Student Registration Days.
• Attend trainings and orientation dates throughout the year.
• Plan, coordinate, and carry out welcome weekend activities.
• Promote campus events and initiatives aligned with the university mission.
