Job summary

University of New Mexico is seeking a student employee to support the IT Networks voice team, handling voicemail, long-distance codes, and other telecom services across UNM Main Campus and the UNM Hospital.

The role requires enrollment at UNM (half-time) and may include work-study. You will assist with tickets, inventory, equipment delivery and pickup, and professional user communication, with a minimum three days in-office per week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM.
• Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters.
• If Work Study, must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Responsibilities

• Process Telecom-related tickets (voicemail, codes, services).
• Maintain inventory counts and organize IT/Telecom equipment.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup of IT/Telecom equipment across UNM Main Campus and UNM Hospital.
• Transport equipment between locations and ensure safe handling.
• Provide professional communication with users while coordinating services.
• Support Voice Team with administrative and operational tasks.
• Maintain in-office availability at least three days per week.
• Complete required UNM training, including defensive driving, as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
