University of New Mexico is seeking a student employee to support the IT Networks voice team, handling voicemail, long-distance codes, and other telecom services across UNM Main Campus and the UNM Hospital.
The role requires enrollment at UNM (half-time) and may include work-study. You will assist with tickets, inventory, equipment delivery and pickup, and professional user communication, with a minimum three days in-office per week.

The UNM IT Networks Voice Team is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented student employee to support telecommunications services, including voicemail, long-distance codes, and other voice-related services. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting IT operations within a large and diverse University environment while developing technical, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, dependable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as the position involves regular interaction with students, faculty, staff, and IT personnel across the University. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with a diverse University population and demonstrate professionalism when responding to requests and coordinating services.
This position requires the student employee to work in the office a minimum of three days per week. The position also includes physical and logistical responsibilities, including the delivery, pickup, transportation, and inventory of IT and telecommunications equipment. Equipment may need to be transported between various locations throughout UNM Main Campus and the UNM Hospital.
Because this position may involve the operation of University vehicles and transportation of IT equipment, the selected candidate must be able to successfully complete a UNM-required defensive driving course immediately upon hire. The candidate should be comfortable performing physical tasks associated with moving equipment and should be able to communicate effectively with users when coordinating equipment deliveries and pickups.

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
