Job summary

Portland State University’s Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is seeking a Medical Receptionist to support two clinics: Health Services and Counseling Services. The role involves front desk duties, patient check-in, scheduling, and handling sensitive health information.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team and help ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment for a diverse student body while maintaining confidentiality and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years of general clerical experience required.
• An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology is required.
• One year of typing or word processing experience; college courses may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist students, check-in and schedule appointments.
• Verify and enter health insurance information and assist with forms.
• Coordinate with SHAC providers to schedule medical and counseling visits.
