Job summary

Associated Students Inc. is seeking a Governmental Relations Student Coordinator in Turlock, CA. This role supports ASI executives and the Board by staying current on city, state, and CSU issues affecting higher education and by promoting civic engagement on campus.

The coordinator helps plan events, assists with programming and budgeting, and mentors student leaders within the SGLC, while maintaining flexible hours and a commitment to service on campus.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled Stanislaus State student with minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Available Wednesdays 10am-1pm.
• Available Tuesdays 3pm-7pm.
• Attend bi-weekly ASI Board meetings on Tuesdays at 4:30 PM.
• Work 15-20 hours per week and travel for CSSA conferences.
• Must have a valid CA Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and execution of Student Center events and campaigns.
• Maintain SC Leadership programming budget and expenditures.
• Prepare programming paperwork and event evaluations.
• Track leadership programming assessments and recruit Board members.
• Attend summer/winter retreats and trainings; participate in Life Skills workshops.
• Assist with RSO Credits tracking.
