Job summary

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Student Manager for ASI Events at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA. The role will supervise the ASI Events Student Assistants, coordinate scheduling, training and risk management, and ensure smooth daily operations during events.

You will collaborate with the University Union leadership team, supervise peers, and uphold ASI safety, confidentiality, and service standards while supporting a high-volume event program.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student at Cal Poly with a minimum of 6 units.
• Graduate students must carry 4 units.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must hold a CA Driver’s License with a driving record acceptable to ASI’s insurance underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and manage daily operations for student employees.
• Train employees in essential duties, customer service and risk management.
• Coordinate, schedules, and duties of the ASI Events Student Assistants.
• Organize and conduct scheduled ASI Event Staff meetings.
• Provide ongoing evaluation and feedback of ASI Events Student Assistants.
