Job summary

Massachusetts Bay Community College is seeking a Financial Aid Assistant to manage front desk operations and assist with FAFSA applications. The role supports Financial Aid Coordinators and Counselors and handles student inquiries about aid eligibility, cost of attendance, and loan processes.

Telework may be considered based on departmental needs; occasional campus presence required to fulfill responsibilities across three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Services, Sociology, or closely related field with six months experience in financial aid operations or loan processing.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.
• Ability to work with confidential student information and comply with FERPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with completing their FAFSA.
• Support front-line staff with financial aid inquiries.
• Manage front desk operations including phone, email, fax and other correspondence for the FAO; data entry and organization of materials.
