MassBay Community College seeks a Financial Aid Assistant to support front desk operations and assist students with FAFSA and financial aid inquiries across its Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland campuses.

Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. The Financial Aid Assistant oversees front desk operations and handles correspondence related to financial aid requests from students and agencies. They also support students in completing their FAFSA applications and advise them on financial aid requirements and eligibility. This role also assists Financial Aid Coordinators and Counselors, manages front-line inquiries, and processes Satisfactory Academic Progress appeals and federal and state aid. MassBay offers eligible staff the opportunity to apply for a telework arrangement upon hire. Telework is not guaranteed and is subject to approval based on operational and departmental needs. Employees must be able to report to campus as required to fulfill their job responsibilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Services, Sociology, or closely related field; with six (6) months experience and/or training involving financial aid operations or loan processing; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Salary Range: $52,021 to $58,177 in accordance with one's education and experience as dictated by the collective bargaining agreement classification compensation structure. As a Massachusetts State Employee, you are offered an outstanding suite of benefits adding value to your salary.
