Job summary

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA seeks a Student Financial Services Operations Clerk VI to handle high-volume administrative support, state grants, scholarships, and front desk inquiries.

Under supervision, you will administer AwardSpring and Banner processes, guide students and families through financial aid steps, process sponsor verifications, and supervise work-study staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of administrative or customer service experience in a higher education financial aid or student financial services environment; experience administering scholarships.

Responsibilities

• State Grants & Third-Party Sponsorships: manage and disburse state grant and scholarship files in Banner and state portals; process third-party sponsorships and complete verification forms.
• Scholarship Administration & Systems Leadership: administer AwardSpring scholarship system; manage donor-funded programs, including renewals and reconciliations.
• Frontline Student & Family Counseling: be the initial contact for financial aid inquiries via phone/email; counsel on financial aid processes and funding options.
• Transactional & Administrative Support: process award cancellations; assist with consortium agreements; maintain supplies and files.
• Supervision Support: assist with hiring, scheduling, and workflow oversight of work-study students; perform non-director duties as assigned.
