Job summary

Western Tech in El Paso, TX is seeking a Student Financial Services Representative to support federal and institutional financial aid programs and to advise students and families through the aid process. This role operates under the supervision of the Director of Financial Student Services.

Under oversight, you will maintain aid files, determine eligibility, conduct entrance counseling for loans, and coordinate with Admissions and the Student Loan Advisor to ensure timely disbursement of funds

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate’s degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in business administration or related fields.
• Prior student financial aid experience preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and telework if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interview prospective students to determine financial aid eligibility.
• Maintain and audit financial aid files for accuracy and compliance.
• Explain financial aid options and help prepare estimated awards.
• Perform entrance counseling for Federal Loans within 3 days of start date.
• Coordinate with Admissions and the Student Loan Advisor on disclosures.
