Job summary

The University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth seeks a Financial Aid Counselor to evaluate student aid applications, determine eligibility, and package awards in line with federal and university standards.

You will administer work-study, Pell/SEOG, and state grants, assist with loans, deliver presentations to students and families, and provide timely guidance via email, phone, and in person. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; two years related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate applicants’ financial information to determine aid eligibility.
• Coordinate federal work-study, Pell/SEOG, and state grants.
• Process ISIRs, verifications, and packaging of aid.
• Explain FAFSA details and loan options to students and families.
• Deliver financial aid presentations to groups and respond to inquiries.
