Job summary

University of North Texas System seeks a Financial Aid Counselor at the Health Fort Worth campus. The role evaluates financial information to determine eligibility and administers programs such as federal work-study and Pell grants.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process student financial aid requests from application through disbursement, determining eligibility and awarding aid.
  • Process scholarships, disseminate information, manage applications and donor relations.
  • Certify work-study applications, reconcile payroll and monitor funds.
  • Provide timely information to students and families about FAFSA, loan counseling, eligibility, and regulations.
  • Process student loans including importing/exporting loan data and certifying changes.
  • Coordinate financial aid presentations to students, staff and community groups.
  • Complete special requests or other duties as assigned.
