Covista is seeking a Disbursement Specialist to manage federal, state, and private aid disbursements and the return of funds in compliance with Title IV regulations. You will reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate across teams to ensure accurate fund application for multiple Covista universities.

The role emphasizes strong Excel skills, system familiarity (Banner/ProSAM/PowerFAIDs/Salesforce), and a customer-focused approach in a higher education setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years experience in student accounts and/or financial aid preferred.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Process disbursements of Title IV federal aid, state aid, private loans, and scholarships to student accounts.
• Manage returns of funds when required, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Reconcile accounts to verify accuracy of disbursements and returns.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in student financial aid transactions.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely and accurate application of funds.
