Job summary

Central Oregon Community College in Madras is seeking a Federal Work-Study Madras Computer Lab Attendant and Office Support student position. You will provide friendly service and assist students and patrons with computer lab use and Zoom technology.

Responsibilities include customer service, maintaining lab security, assisting with questions, keeping lab clean, supporting campus events, and helping campus staff with clerical tasks. Flexible schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Federal Work-Study eligibility for 2025-2026/2026-2027 academic years.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide reliable customer service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic lab software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students and patrons using the computer lab and Madras Campus.
• Maintain security of lab equipment and facilities.
• Assist students with a wide range of college & computer questions.
• Facilitate the smooth operation of the computer lab: keep the lab clean and report machine and software problems.
• Aid with campus events during the week and weekend work hours.
• Aid campus staff in clerical and specific campus needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
