Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point invites applications for a part-time Community Development Assistant (CDA) in the Housing and Residence Life department. The CDA lives in the hall, helps promote student development, and supports hall programs for 250-325 residents.

The role requires living in a residence hall, enrollment as a full-time UWSP student (12+ credits), and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Duties include training, creating materials, and coordinating with hall staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UWSP student enrolled in 12+ credits.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at start of employment.
• Experience living in a residence hall for 2+ semesters.
• Enrollment in full-time studies (12 credits min).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hall staff in developing materials and programs as directed by the Residence Hall Director.
• Attend hall activities and events.
• Create materials for community development in common spaces.
• Facilitate educational conversations on community standards and policies.
• Support staff wellness and student involvement in residence halls.
• Maintain communication with the RHD about programming and concerns.
