Job summary

UWSP University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeks a Pray‑Sims Hall Community Development Assistant. This part‑time student staff member lives in the hall and supports hall staff through creative design, program development, and community engagement.

CDAs collaborate with staff to develop materials, attend activities, and promote wellness while maintaining confidentiality and upholding housing policies. A 2.5+ GPA and active student enrollment are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified UW‑Stevens Point student (current enrollment).
• GPA 2.5 or higher at start of employment.
• Experience living in a residence hall for at least two semesters.
• Experience in housing & residence-life leadership positions (Program Board, Desk Receptionist, RA) for at least two semesters.
• Full-time enrollment (12 credits minimum).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hall staff to develop materials and programs as directed by the RHD.
• Attend hall activities and events scheduled by the RHD.
• Create community‑development materials for common spaces.
• Facilitate conversations about residence-life policies with residents.
• Train and schedule front-desk staff and supervise Resident Assistants.
• Plan and facilitate front-desk meetings and communicate with RHD.
