Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point is seeking a Baldwin Hall Community Development Assistant. This part-time student job lives in the residence hall to promote hall staff success through creativity, design, and collaboration.

The CDA works with the Residence Hall Director to develop materials, host events, and engage residents. A stipend is provided per semester, and room/meal plan waivers are available, with up to 20 hours per week during academic terms.

Qualifications

• Ability to think creatively and produce materials that communicate effectively.
• Experience planning, developing, and implementing events.
• Experience completing administrative tasks.
• Experience working with diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hall staff in developing materials, strategies, and supporting social and hall programs.
• Attend hall activities and events as specified by the RHD.
• Create community development materials such as bulletin boards in common spaces.
• Facilitate conversations around housing standards and policies.
• Plan and facilitate front desk staff meetings and provide guidance.
