Job summary

Towson University’s Event and Conference Services (ECS) seeks a Student Building Coordinator to serve as an on-site resource for the University Union and West Village Commons during operating hours. You will monitor safety, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold facility presentation standards.

You’ll also support Lost and Found procedures. Ideal candidates communicate well, are reliable, and enjoy helping others, with flexible availability as ECS operates up to 16 hours daily, 7 days

• Flexible availability; the University Union and West Village Commons operate approximately 16 hours a day, 7 days a week during the semester.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly facility walk-throughs and address safety or security concerns.
• Monitor building schedules and ensure rooms are opened and secured.
• Perform daily opening and closing procedures.
• Manage access to keys and offices; vet requests and record logs.
• Serve as information desk resource and provide accurate guest information.
• Relay updates to campus partners and Building Management.
• Maintain knowledge of building layout and services.
• Log found items and follow Found Property Procedure.
• Securely store lost items and log reports.
