Job summary

UNIVERSITY ACADEMY is seeking a Lead Campus Security Officer to maintain a secure, welcoming campus environment. You will supervise patrols, monitor entrances, cameras, alarms, and access control while coordinating with safety staff and first responders.

The role requires 3–5 years of security or related experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead in the absence of the Director or Coordinator. Occasional evenings and events may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years in security, school safety, law enforcement, emergency management, or related fields.
• Experience responding to safety, security, emergency, or crisis situations.
• Experience with security procedures, incident reporting, access control, surveillance systems, or other safety and security operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required safety and emergency management training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visible security presence across campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with first responders; execute emergency plans.
• Assist with drills, safety plans, and documentation; coordinate training records.
• Serve as secondary safety coordinator and provide operational guidance to staff.
• Oversee scheduling, post orders, and equipment maintenance for the department.
