Job summary

Cal State LA’s University-Student Union seeks an Operations Assistant to provide maintenance support and help with upkeep and repairs of the U-SU facility.

Under the supervision of the Operations Coordinator, you will perform cleaning, equipment operation, floor care, and assist with events. You must be a current CSLA student, capable of lifting 70 pounds, and able to deliver excellent customer service in a busy campus environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled Cal State LA student with a minimum of six undergraduate units and a minimum GPA of 2.0, or graduate student with at least four graduate units and a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and custodial tasks to keep the U-SU facility clean and safe.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Empties trash, sweeps, vacuums, dusts, and restocks supplies.
• Cleans restrooms, floors, walls, windows, and furniture; performs floor care.
• Assists with moving, setting up furniture and equipment; supports events.
• Performs non-technical repairs and reports issues to supervisors.
• Provides quality customer service to campus community and guides guests.
