Job summary

Harper College in Palatine, IL is seeking a Part-time One Stop Center Student Assistant. You will be the welcoming point for students and visitors, delivering excellent customer service and guiding them through college procedures and the student portal.

The role supports enrollment and tuition payments, with flexible hours. Applicants must be current Harper College students enrolled in at least 6 credits and able to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.

Responsibilities

• Represent One Stop at events to promote enrollment and student experiences.
• Provide support to One Stop Center staff and assist with special projects; remote work elements possible.

Job Description

The One Stop Center Student Assistant is the first point of contact for students and visitors to Harper College serving as the welcoming point and providing excellent customer service at the One Stop Center and Information Centers. The One Stop Center is open Monday-Thursday from 8am-7pm and Fridays 8am-4:30pm

About the Team

The One Stop department provides assistance with enrollment, academic records, financial aid and tuition payments.

Responsibilities

Assist students in-person, phone, email and chat with questions about College procedures, account information and how to navigate My Harper (student portal). Assist with calling campaigns related to outbound call center efforts and input detailed information to record outbound calls made. Represent the One Stop at events and activities for new and continuing students that support enrollment related functions. Serve as a “storyteller” to other students about Harper and foster relationships that promote positive student experiences.Provide support to One-Stop Center staff as well as assistance with special projects and events as needed. Elements of these duties are subject to working remotely.
