Harper College in Palatine, IL is seeking a part-time Admissions Outreach Student Aide to greet visitors, answer inquiries, and assist with campus tours. The role requires excellent in-person, phone, and written communications, and a friendly, service-oriented approach.

You’ll support recruitment events, handle front-desk duties, and collaborate on special projects. Schedule is determined by availability, with office hours Mon–Fri and a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Job description

Overview

Admissions Outreach is the first point of contact for prospects, new students, and their families. Student aides will work at the front desk of Admissions Outreach. Student aides must be able to provide exceptional customer service in-person, via telephone, and through written/virtual communication. Additional duties include helping the office with special projects, recruiting events, and campus tours.

Schedule Information

Will determine schedule based on student’s availability. Must have availability to work during the following office hours:

1. Monday: 8am to 7pm


2. Tuesday: 8am to 7pm


3. Wednesday: 8am to 7pm


4. Thursday: 8am to 7pm


5. Friday: 8am to 4:30pm

Maximum hours per week: 20 hours
