Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools is seeking an Athletics/Activities Sponsor at Proviso West High School to organize, supervise, and promote a student club aligned with district goals. This role serves as a mentor and liaison among students, staff, and administration to ensure a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining records and communication with stakeholders.

• Experience with supervising student activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for all club-related activities, including meetings, events, field trips, and practices, ensuring student safety and compliance with school conduct and safety protocols.
• Ensure all off-campus activities are approved through district procedures and that permissions and transportation are arranged per policy.
• As a mandated reporter, comply with required training and reporting obligations.
• Prepare students, define expectations, and offer feedback to support development.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage to ensure well-organized and safe events.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders about club operations, events, and expectations.
• Submit required documentation and annual activity summaries.
• Attend sponsor meetings and activity-related events.
