Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools is seeking an Intramurals Coordinator at Proviso West High School. This stipend, non-tenure assignment invites a mentor-like role, overseeing clubs and activities beyond the regular instructional day.

The sponsor will supervise activities, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators to promote student engagement and development.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students in a school setting.
• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties associated with the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide active and effective supervision for all club activities, meetings, events, and practices, ensuring student safety and compliance with policies.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and transport/paperwork are completed per Board policy.
• As a mandated reporter, comply with training and reporting obligations under Illinois law.
• Demonstrate knowledge of activity by preparing students, defining expectations, and offering feedback to support development.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage with school personnel to ensure well-organized events.
• Maintain timely, professional communication with students, staff, parents and other stakeholders.

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) / Substitute Teaching License / Retired educator / Educator-Related Certification
