Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools seeks a Commencement Director at Proviso West High School to supervise and promote student activities and clubs in alignment with district goals.

The role mentors students, coordinates with faculty and administration, ensures safety, inclusivity, and adherence to policies, and manages event planning, logistics, and supervision during off-campus activities. The position is stipend-based and requires strong leadership and organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for all club activities, meetings, events, field trips, and practices.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and that permission slips and transportation are in place.
• As a mandated reporter, comply with training and reporting obligations under Illinois law.
• Demonstrate knowledge of activity and offer constructive feedback to support development.
• Guide students in planning inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the club's mission.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage with school personnel to ensure safe events.
• Use feedback and data to inform program decisions and improve impact.
• Promote student involvement and model positive interpersonal relationships.
